Providing family members with a needed respite from care-giving

Knowing how challenging it can be to care for someone with a disability, UCP of Long Island provides the family living with a person with a developmental disability a brief “respite.” Families have peace of mind knowing their family member is being supported by dedicated and responsible staff. Programs include:

All activities are designed to promote exercise, team building and socialization among participants. Available on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

Art Respite

Promotes self-development and self expression through art-related activities. Participants engage in various creative projects under staff supervision and instruction. Emphasis on group activities encourages team building and socialization among participants. Available on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

Saturday Recreational Respite Program
